When our friends at LangChain called, we knew the answer before we knew the timeline.

The Interrupt Conference needed its own world. Fast. The first idea was to keep the event close to the existing LangChain brand, but a room full of people building the future of AI agents deserved something sharper, experimental, and more alive.
So we built a visual identity in a week.

BRANDING

The starting point was simple: branching paths, a loose grid, and a conference space split into color-coded zones. A nod to how agent workflows behave, but drawn with the restraint of a wireframe. Low-key, slightly brutalist, with just enough friction to feel human-made. The funny part? For a conference about AI, the whole thing came together the old way: brainstorms, sketches, and a lot of fast decisions.

The system grew from a loose grid filled with flipped gradient blocks, four vivid color directions, and a fan-like visual that opened up in motion like pages, panels, or slides from some lost keynote deck. Somewhere between a developer tool, an event map, and PowerPoint ’95. In the best possible way.



VENUE DESIGN

From there, we turned one strong graphic idea into a full conference kit: stage visuals, social assets, motion pieces, posters, merch, venue signage, booths, gates, wayfinding, and room color-coding throughout the space. The grid became a practical tool. The gradients gave each zone its own energy. Simple line illustrations kept the whole thing raw and flexible enough to live on screens, walls, fabric, and the actual architecture of the venue.
