We're a well-knit digital design studio working with products, brands and (ai-)code. Top founders come to us because we get early-stage like no one else. We help them define, build and scale future unicorns. That means we think beyond beyond the kickoff call (though a well-timed upsell still hits). Fair warning: this is not a place to coast. The pace is set by founders who move fast, and we like it that way.
You’re free to do the job your way, but the team is there for you. Doesn’t matter if you’re just in a pickle or need a real talk about your career – there’s always folks happy to give you a hand.
And hey, we’re not here to point the finger at what to do. If you see something we can improve or know how to reach our goals – do it and get your cred.
The team is already asking about you. Don't make them wait, apply!
Your day-to-day
You grow our client relationships – you don't schedule them. This is a commercial role: you own the account, the relationship and where it goes next.
- Owning a portfolio of our key client accounts and being the founder's go-to person at tonik
- Building real relationships with founders and their teams: understanding where their company is heading, what's burning and where we can move the needle next
- Running every account on an Account Growth Plan: a quarterly plan and yearly revenue goals for each client
- Spotting, shaping and closing growth opportunities – follow-up phases, new scopes, new services across brand, web, product, motion and dev
- Mapping the account: who we know, who we work with, who we should know – and getting introduced
- Keeping a pulse on client satisfaction (NPS, feedback, retros) and stepping in before small issues become big ones
- Turning client needs into clear briefs and making sure the handoff to our PMs and delivery teams is clean
- Owning the commercial basics: proposals, renewals, pricing conversations and a pipeline that's always up to date
- Knowing – and being able to tell – the value we deliver to each client, in numbers
- Showing up where our clients are: occasional trips to SF for events and on-site meetings
It’s a match if you’re like this
- 3+ years in account management or client partnership at a software house, digital agency or product studio
- A track record of growing accounts, not just keeping them happy – upsells, cross-sells and renewals you can put numbers on
- Sales instinct: you're comfortable owning targets, talking money and asking for the next deal
- The ability to earn founders' and C-level trust fast – and keep it
- A structured way of working: you plan accounts ahead, live in your CRM (Pipedrive is a plus) and don't need reminders
- Enough understanding of how digital products, brands and websites get made to spot opportunities and set realistic expectations
- Fluent English (at least C1)
- Okay with regular afternoon and evening calls with US clients (ET/PT) and occasional travel to SF
- Comfortable with the early-stage tempo: several clients at once, founders who move fast, no "let's revisit next quarter"
- Vibe compatible with a high-performance, low-ego and drama-free culture
- Bonus points for experience with VC-backed startups from the US, knowing the ecosystem (YC, a16z Speedrun, HF0), entrepreneurial experience, or a project management background
What you get
- A world-class team around you: high-agency, senior, low-ego. We set the bar high, raise it often, and pull you up with it
- Founders from the Valley's top rosters: a16z Speedrun, YC, HF0 and more. We've partnered with 200+ of them
- AI-native delivery, not pixel pushing. We're rebuilding the studio around it, and you'll help define how it works
- A direct line to founders. Strong ideas go from concept to shipped in days, the decision loop is that short
- Trips to SF to work with clients. You get the epicenter up close
- Top-tier AI tooling on us (whatever's winning right now)
- Unlimited hardware & software budget
- Dinners, retreats and workations
- Unlimited budget for growth
